The abiotic environment attempts to create a space that is reminiscent of the outdoors without directly mimicking it. It generates a therapeutic atmosphere that connects patients to nature while remaining in a sterile environment. This technology allows designers to engage in a conversation about functional, "living" architecture.
The NewNormal(s) Exhibition will be opening Wednesday, May 2nd at 5:00 pm in the Hayes Atrium! The work of Sarah Gunawan [2017-2018 Banham Fellow] and the students of Multiplying Perspectives and NewNormal(s) will be displayed to challenge the conventional perceptions of body and space.
